Library Cards
As soon as you are born you can get a library card!
All residents of incorporated Elk Grove Village are entitled to a free Elk Grove Village Public Library card.
Have your parents or guardian stop by the Reception Desk with their driver's license, utility bill, or other proof of residency. Call for further information (847) 437-0447.
National Library Week

The Elk Grove Village Public Library is proud to announce the debut of a new Library card and key ring tag scheduled for availability on April 10th! Many patrons expressed interest in a convenient keytag option, similar to the ones used in gyms, grocery and department stores. Our borrowers asked...and we listened! The new design is a "combo pack," composed of a credit card-sized library card and a key tag library card. If you want the new style, please come to the Circulation Desk and the staff will be happy to swap your old card for a redesigned one. Please note: you must bring your old card and provide valid identification in order to receive your new card.
