    Youth Services’ Winter Reading Program is co-sponsored by the Chicago Wolves Hockey Team. For every 30 minutes that you read, you will receive a raffle ticket.  Weekly raffles will be held for Wolves prizes. For pre-school & up.

   Once again we have an extra incentive for signing up early.  Everyone who signs up on opening day will be eligible for a Wolves Replica Jersey. We have 3 to raffle.  The raffle drawing is at 4:00 p.m.

Chicago Wolves Player Visit

Tuesday, February 22:  7 pm – 8 pm

   Wolves center Cory Larose will give a talk, sign autographs, and show a Wolves uniform.  No registration necessary.

Wolves Read to Succeed Rules (2005)

 Take a numbered sheet and a bookmark. If you are registering on February 5th, then you are also eligible to be in our special opening day Wolves Jersey raffle. Make sure you get one raffle ticket for that drawing.

 Read Library books at home, and every time you read for 30 minutes, or get read to, have an adult sign it. We will then initial it. You will then receive two raffle tickets.

 You cannot get credit for reading more than 2 hours per day or 14 hours per week. That is we shall not give out more than 28 raffle tickets per week of reading.

Just like last year, there are two kinds of raffles. Each week, we will be raffling off game tickets, duffle bags and puck beanies. The remaining Wolves merchandise will be raffled off at the end of the program. The tickets will be kept in all boxes until the end of the program, unless they were drawn as a winner in one of the weekly raffles.

 The gray ticket will be for the weekly raffle. The green one is for the shoeboxes. Make sure you write your name and phone number on each ticket.

 Raffles will be held at 11:00 am each Saturday of the reading program, and the prize order will be tickets, watches, then hockey pucks

 Only one particular prize per reader. In the weekly raffle, if your name is drawn for tickets, and then if your name is picked again, you will get the next prize down, which is the duffle bag and after that the  puck beanie. The same rule applies to the final raffles. You can only win a particular prize once.

 The dates for the 2004 raffles are as follows: 2/12, 2/19 2/26, 3/5, 3/12, 3/19, 3.26.

 The information on redeeming the tickets is on the tickets themselves.

 Prizes to be given away weekly: tickets, duffle bags and beanie pucks.

 Prizes to be given away at the end of the program on : Shirts, wastebaskets, rompers, Skates beanie dolls and Teddy Bear Banks.
