Monday-Thursday	9:00 am - 10:00 pm
Friday	9:00 am - 7:00 pm
Saturday	9:00 am - 5:00 pm
Sunday	1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

The Library is closed on the following days : New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day & the preceding Sunday, Fourth of July, Labor Day & the preceding Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve & Christmas Day, New Year's Eve close at 1 pm.

If you need reference service after the Library is closed, simply call the Library's telephone number (847-439-0447). You will be directly connected to our Night Owl Service, an after hours telephone reference service. It is available daily (except holidays) until midnight.

The Library is just 200 yards south of Biesterfield Road on the east side of Wellington Avenue, across the street from the Park District Pavilion. Look for the illuminated "Elk Grove Village Public Library" sign at the driveway entrance.

Facts

The Library opened its doors on July 18, 1959 in a house at 38 Forest Lane.
The current facility opened in September 1990.
The building contains 63,000 square feet.
The library has over 361,000 books, DVDs, CDs, videos, etc.
