Literary Locales - Adult Winter Reading Program

Literary Locales
January 24 - March 21, 2021

Oh, the places we'll go...

Sign up for the Adult Winter Reading Program and read three books set in international locales for a chance to win a $25 gift card to a local restaurant.

How to Participate Online

For those who wish to participate online, we're using a platform called Beanstack. Create an account on Beanstack and register for the Adult Program. If you have children, you can add them to your account and register them for the Youth Program. If you already have a Beanstack account, simply login and register for the Adult Winter Reading Program under the Challenges tab.

How to Participate Offline

We want our reading program to be accessible to all adults. If you are unable to participate online, you can print a log sheet or request a log sheet to be mailed to you by calling us at (847) 439-0447 x 272. We can mail it to you or you can pick it up via Curbside Pickup.

Enter the Prize Drawing

After you’ve completed three internationally-set books, you'll be entered in the prize drawing and can choose the gift card you'd like to win.

12 people will win a $25 gift card to a local restaurant featuring international flavors: Tata's Pierogi, Cubano Bros., Bistro Dragon, and Maz Mez. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, March 23 and listed here.

Prizes can be picked up at the Adult Reference Desk when the Library reopens to the public.
