Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent experience and training, or demonstrated ability to perform job. Typing skills required. Previous experience in a public service position helpful.

Responsibilities
Assists public with the retrieval of periodicals and newspapers at the Periodical Desk. Works closely with Computer Monitors to provide exceptional customer service. Coordinates use of Adult Services computers, Study Room, and Media Room. Assists public with microform and microform readers, copiers, video games, scanners, typewriter, and other equipment. Needs to learn automated "Serials Management" computer program. May assist with other duties or projects as needed.

Needs to project a friendly and helpful manner.

Hours
An average of about 14 hours per week

Salary
$13.14 per hour
