Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in education, library science, or a related field, or currently pursuing a degree in education (having completed 3 three years) or a Master's Degree in Library Science.

Additional Skills Desired
Demonstrated interest in children. Experience working with infants or children in a library or a school classroom. Familiarity with technological applications in a library or a school environment. Artistic creativity. Knowledge of Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities
Performs basic reference and readers' advisory duties. Assists with library programs, including summer reading, crafts, and story times.

Hours
35 hours per week, including daytime, evenings and some weekends

Salary
$12.35 per hour

June 8 - July 31, 2015

Part-Time Computer Monitor

Qualifications
Minimum high school junior plus one year of training in computer systems hardware and software or demonstrated ability to do the job; physically able to maneuver in and about computer stations for repair purposes.

Attributes
Good communications skills and ability to understand and share written and oral instructions; ability to exercise initiative; must exercise tact, friendliness, and patience when working with patrons and staff; can work productively with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Assists patrons and staff with PC/Mac applications and peripherals; maintains and troubleshoots equipment and software applications; may research/recommend software or hardware for purchase; occasionally develops documents, databases, or forms for in-house use; provides assistance for acquiring, cataloging, and weeding computer books/materials; assists at the Periodicals and Youth Services Desks.

Hours
Varies: days, nights and weekends as needed. Approximately 16 hours per week.

Benefits
Vacation after 1 year, sick leave and other benefits available.

Salary
$12.35 per hour
