Elk Grove Preschools & Day Cares

Introduction

The information in this booklet was obtained through a survey sent to the preschools and day care centers in Elk Grove Village by the Youth Services Department of the Elk Grove Village Public Library during November of 2010. We encourage you to call or visit for further information.

This booklet constitutes factual information given to us by the preschool and day care centers and is not an endorsement of any school. For your convenience, we have added a list of licensed home day care centers. That information is available through most of the neighborhood schools.

All of the preschools and day cares in Elk Grove Village are licensed by the Department of Children and Family Services of the State of Illinois, except where noted. The List is as follows:

Philosophy/General Purpose: ABCC was founded in 1989 to meet the growing childcare needs of its employees. We have served hundreds of families looking for a high quality program and a secure, nurturing environment for their children. Guided by the Alexian Brothers' values, we are committed to providing each child with compassionate and competent care. We believe in helping young children develop a positive sense of self and a respect for others and the world around them.

Curriculum: We offer the World At Their Fingertips - a comprehensive, integrated curriculum that emphasizes the importance of active learning through science, math, language, and art. The World curriculum creates developmentally appropriate learning environments in which each child learns what the world is like, how it works, and what he/she is capable of in it.

Other Pertinent Information: Alexian Brothers Childcare is owned by the Alexian Brothers Medical Center and managed under Bright Horizons Family Solutions. In 2009 we celebrated 20 years of dedicated service to the employees of Alexian Brothers Medical Center and the surrounding community.
