Teen Advisory Group
Calling junior high school students! Try something new and join our Teen Advisory Group (TAG).
We'll meet on the second Wednesday of each month at 2:30-3:30pm. Together, we will complete service projects, create programs, plan out the teen space, book talk, and create promotional videos. Snacks will be provided.
New members, please fill out a TAG application, available at the reference desk or available for download on our website, so we can get to know you better. This group is only for junior high school students with a valid Elk Grove Village Public Library card.
Contact Tammy Wulf at email@example.com or call (847) 439-0447 extension 248 for questions or comments.
Adult Services and Youth Services frequently have job openings for Pages.
Pages shelve books and other materials, empty the book drops, and help tidy up the departments, especially before closing.
We prefer that you be at least 16, can work both in the summer and winter, have few extracurricular activities in school, and are comfortable with alphabetizing and the Dewey Decimal System.
If you think you might like to work in the library, come fill out a job application form, and you will remain in our pool of applicants as page jobs become available. We generally keep the applications for a year.
If you need to do community service or just wish to volunteer, give us a call at (847) 439-0447, extension 267. Remember, you must be in 6th grade or above, and thanks for thinking of us.
