Good Food, Good Books - Good Times

June 12 - August 28, 2022

For ages 14 years and older

Nothing brings people together like good food and good books! Our summer reading program will be a celebration of both. So grab a seat at the table and take a taste -- books are so endlessly delicious!

How to Participate

Registration

Starting Sunday, June 12, 2022, stop by the Adult Services Desk to register for in-person participation. You will receive a log sheet and program materials.

Alternatively, you may participate online by filling out our online registration form.

Complete Categories

There are 10 reading categories to choose from:

You are not required to read specific books; you can choose books that fit each category. For example, for Mystery Morsels, you may read any mystery book. You can read, listen to, download, or stream your materials -- we ask only that you check them out from the Elk Grove Village Public Library.

When you have completed 5 categories, you will earn a program t-shirt. Visit the Adult Services Desk to pick one up.

If you are participating online, please fill out a submit your Completion Form. Upon submitting your Completion Form, we will email you confirmation to pick up your program t-shirt at the Adult Services Desk.

Tickets and Prizes

For every book you read, you will receive a prize ticket to enter in the prize drawing of your choice. Continue reading and earning prize tickets all summer until Sunday, August 28, 2022. We will announce prize winners in September.

If you are participating online, please fill out the Additional Tickets Form to enter up to 10 additional tickets into the prize drawing of your choice.
