Expired Library Cards

• Library cards remain valid as long as the adult patron resides within incorporated Elk Grove Village.
• Library cards issued to minors will expire when the cardholder turns 18 years old. Patrons who reach the age of 18 must renew their library card to continue borrowing materials and accessing library services. Renewal requires updated identification and proof of current address in accordance with library registration requirements.
• The Library reserves the right to purge cards that have not been used for at least three (3) years from the system.
